Well, I gotta say, I pretty much hate the typepad interface. Oh, wait. Let's try the link over there -> Ha! Ok, so I got a slightly better editor. That was spectacularly not obvious. Wouldn't you think that "Post an Entry" would be the bright red button at the top of a blog?
On to the meat of the post, new shows first. We have the first cancellation of the season: Lone Star. It was much hyped by the critics, tanked in the ratings and yanked off the air after two episodes. That's 2% of my DVR I can have back without watching. Nice.
I have also decided without watching that I don't actually care about The Event. So it's gone too.
I haven't heard great things about Undercovers, but I'm willing to at least watch one, although if it's as frothy as it sounds, I can get my weekly quota of that from Castle.
And now for the returning shows I've decided I don't actually care about. First up, House. I just can't make myself care anymore no matter how much I love Hugh Laurie. House and I are through.
The other show I've decided I just don't care about no matter how much I love Bradley Whitford is The Good Guys. It's funny, but not funny enough to dedicate 44 minutes a week to.
On the flipside, two new shows I'm finding worth watching are Hawaii Five-0 and Terriers. Terriers is really really good and different. Hawaii Five-0 is actually a lot of fun. Alex O'Laughlin is just as bland (and kind of hot) as usual, but the supporting cast makes it worthwhile. Scott Caan is fantastic, and Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park look to be well utilized.
There are still a couple new shows I haven't checked out yet. I'll update again after I've checked them out.
The Big Bang Theory is still the funniest show you're probably not watching, and Fringe remains the best sci-fi show you're probably not watching.
And lastly for tonight, the episode of Mythbusters that I was an extra for airs October 6.
I haven't done a news post in a while, but now that I've at least worked out how to post here, maybe one will be forthcoming.
